Eighty five percent of new patients entering our practice are word of mouth referrals from other patients or doctors! Whether or not you have been referred, you will be warmly welcomed into our practice and treated like a member of our family.
We reserve a limited number of openings everyday for new patients. These times are usually given on a first come first served basis. If you are an established patient and wish to schedule appointments for your family or to refer a friend, please let us know and we will make a special effort to schedule them at a convenient time.
New Patient Assessment and Care
The first visit procedure for a new patient or for someone who has not visited us for some time is directed towards gathering all of the information necessary for Dr. Swanson to understand your concerns and to determine if your is a chiropractic case.
Your First Visit
As a new patient, you will be asked a complete a comprehensive health history form. This form is designed to give the doctor all of the necessary information about past health problems, injuries, diet, exercise, occupation, and other information needed to make informed and accurate decisions in your case.
Your initial examination may include range of motion studies, careful palpation (examination by touch) of your spinal column, important neurological, orthopedic, muscle testing, a computer spinal analysis, and special chiropractic x-rays if indicated. Ultimately, the recommendations given will be specifically designed for you based on the correlations of these findings.

What To Bring On Your First Visit
¨ Bring your insurance information so that we can find out if your particular plan will contribute to your chiropractic care.
¨ If you are taking over the counter pain relievers or muscle relaxants please discontinue at least four hours prior to your appointment.
¨ In case x-rays are indicated, it is best to wear clothing with no metal and jewelry that can be easily removed.
¨ Children are always welcome in our office. But, if you are bringing small children to this first visit, please bring along another adult to watch them. This will give both you and Dr. Swnason a chance to focus specifically on you and your health concerns.
After all the information is gathered, and testing procedures completed, Dr. Swanson will spend whatever time needed to analyze your x-rays, study the clinical findings and to develop a plan of care designed to efficiently and effectively address the cause of your presenting health concerns. On your 2nd visit, Dr. Swanson will go over your Report of Findings with you and go over your X-rays/treatment plan.
